Sending private messages in Outlook for shared mailboxes
Incoming messages that were marked as ‘Private’ by the sender will not appear in the inbox of the shared mailbox when viewing the mailbox using the Outlook Desktop app.
These messages do, however, appear marked as 'Private” in the shared mailbox when viewing the mailbox using Outlook on the Web.

If confidential (or sensitive, private) information needs to be sent over email, it is recommended to use email encryption instead.
