In this lab, it is possible to use the projector with the computer at the workstation, or with your laptop. The computer at the workstation will have a “PLEASE DO NOT UNPLUG ANY CABLES” sticker on the monitor.
Setting up the Projector:
Using the projector remote, turn on the projector by pressing the blue power button on the remote. The remote is mounted to the wall.
Bring down the projector screen using the switch located on the right.
To change the screen resolution, press the "AUTOPOSITION" button on the remote.
Projecting from a lab computer:
Sign in to the lab computer with your WatIAM and password.
Type + “p” for the Project window to pop up, and pick whether to “Duplicate” or “Extend” your screen to the projector screen. This will mirror or extend your computer screen to the projector respectively.
Projecting from a laptop:
Plug in the USBC cable to connect the laptop to the projector. If no USB C port is available, unplug the adaptor and use the HDMI cable instead. If the laptop is not compatible with either the USB C cable or HDMI cable, visit the ETIS Help Desk at EV2-1008 to request for a suitable adaptor.
Type + “p” for the Project window to pop up, and pick whether to “Duplicate” or “Extend” your screen to the projector screen.
If the projector did not duplicate or extend your computer screen, press the button located below the lab computer screen as shown in the following image. This botton allows the projector to switch between displaying the lab computer and the connected laptop.
