Creating an Event (Un-ticketed Events)

Ticketed Events

For ticketed events please submit a ticket to the WUSA Website Request Queue once all information (dates, prices, capacity, banner images etc.) have been finalized to avoid delays/ errors in postings.

Step 1– Toggle to the Events section within the sidebar on the dashboard. Click on the Add New button to create a new event.

Step 2 – In the right-hand sidebar, like a blog post, you can choose or create categories, and add a featured image that will be used in the Event display as the Event Banner.

  • There are also a few Event options in this sidebar.

  • Featured Events will be Featured on the homepage (ALL WUSA EVENTS SHOULD BE FEATURED)

Step 3 – Remainder of the content comes from The Events Calendar box, immediately under the editor. Here you add the date and time for the event, as well as the organizer and the location for the event (which you can reuse). There is a link field for an external event website (ex. ticketfy/ external RSVP/sign-up forms), and there is a place to add a cost for the event.

Step 4 – Once you are finished, set click preview to check that everything looks good and hit publish!
