How to enable the new meeting experience in Teams

The new meeting experience in Teams must be enabled in order to use the Teams Breakout Rooms feature.

 

  1. In the Teams application window, click on your Profile Picture in the top-right corner.

     

  2. Click Settings from the drop-down menu.

     

  3. Check off the Turn on new meeting experience box located under the Application settings.

     

  4. Restart Teams by quitting and reopening the application. You should now see the new meeting experience when joining a Teams meeting.
