How to impersonate the test student
Impersonating the test student helps instructors see their course from the student perspective, allows instructors to complete assignments and can be used to generate LTI grades in some situations.
Step-by-step guide
To impersonate the test student:
- Click on Connect and choose Classlist from the drop down menu.
- Click on the Test Student tab.
- Click on the down arrow to the right of the test student's name in the classlist and choose Impersonate from the list of options.
- A confirmation pop-up window will appear, click yes to begin impersonation.
- To confirm you are impersonating the test student, look at the top right hand corner of the LEARN page, you should now see Test Student where your name normally appears with Impersonating listed below.
- To end impersonating the test student click on the Test Student's name.
- Click the X to the right of the test student's name to end the impersonation and return to your view of the course.
