Microphones - TC2218A/B

Setup Overview

  1. Podium A must be turned on and connected to the A/V laptop via the provided HDMI and USB cables to use the microphones and cameras available in the meeting room. The setup should match the photo below.

  2. When capturing single speakers, use the lapel or handheld microphones. When capturing many speakers within the room, use the room microphones.

  3. If the lapel or handheld microphones are not transmitting audio, ensure they are turned on, unmuted within the presenter screen, and that their volume has been adjusted.

Microphone Settings:

Each microphone has associated mute controls, with added volume controls for the handheld microphones and source (i.e. computer audio). This can be used to adjust volume and mute devices as required.

Make sure you do not use multiple microphones unmuted concurrently - this may result in feedback.

Microphone Settings
  1. Ceiling MIC: Controls the room Microphones. These should be used when many speakers are participating. This control only has the mute option available.

  2. Wireless MIC 1: MIC 1 corresponds to the lapel microphone. Ensure the lapel microphone has been turned on, the volume slider has been adjusted, and that it is not muted. This should be used for a single speaker or in conjunction with the handheld microphone.

  3. Wireless MIC 2: MIC 2 corresponds to the handheld microphone. Ensure the handheld microphone has been turned on, the volume slider has been adjusted, and that it is not muted. This can be used for a single speaker or to pass the microphone between speakers.

  4. Source: Source corresponds to the audio playing on the A/V laptop. This can be muted to ensure audience members are not heard, or volume can be adjusted as needed to play audio from the computer through the speaker system.
