This article will walk you through the steps to customize the Peer Ratings grading section for your peerScholar activity.
Step-by-step guide
Peer Ratings are available for both the Assess and the Reflect Phases of an activity. The items visible should reflect the assessment types added to your activity while building it.
Check the Generate Assess Grades checkbox and the assessment will also be checked making the Points value toggle available. Select your preferred method of calculation from the options available and enter the Points value appropriate for your activity. Calculate by options include Mean, Median, Mode or Drop.
In the Reflect Phase of the Peer Ratings grading section you will see three default assessment types but only one will be preselected. If you decide to include either or both of the additional options, a Points value toggle will be available for you to adjust accordingly. The default Points value assigned is 0.
If you will be using Student Participation grades, move to that article, otherwise move on to Grades Summary to complete your grade set-up.
Please Note: If an item is not selected and does not have a Points value on the right hand side, that assessment will not count towards students overall grades and it will not be visible to students while assessing their peers.
