PURPOSE
This procedure defines how courses for which students have applied to take by Cross-Registration at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), and which do not normally appear on the UW Schedule of Classes, are added to the Schedule of Classes.
PROCEDURE
The Scheduling office will be notified of WLU Course Offerings via email request sent by the WLU Cross-registration person.
The Scheduling office will add the course to the Schedule of Classes following the procedure outlined in procedure I-CH 01- Scheduling a New Class.
The course number should have a “W” after the number (eg. GRK 202W)
The Campus will be entered as WLU or ONLNL, which will automatically default the Location to Wilfrid Laurier University or Online.
The generated course number (index number) will be recorded on the original email request, and the entry will be checked for accuracy prior to checking the email.
The Scheduling office will reply via email to the Cross-registration person the assigned course number/index number.
Enrollment notes will be indicated on the template that the Cross-registration person needs. Normally they will come in via standard enrolment note number that matches in Quest.
WLU courses that are online will be coded with the ONLNL/WLUOC campus location and be section numbers of 099, they will not have Course admin coded entered for them.
