When creating a new room characteristic, log into Campus Admin
It’s found under Management → Space Attributes → Space Characteristics → Characteristics
To create a new room characteristic select the plus button near the top of the screen
Enter in the ID, this is what the characteristic will be called. Then select the “Characteristic Category”
If it’s for the NH/EC2 hoteling stations you’ll want to choose “RO – Registrar’s Office”, however if it’s going to be used in courses, or bookings you should choose if this information will be coming from “SPO – Space Planning Office” which is the SDCI web form that we now maintain in the scheduling office. Or “ITMS – ITMS” which would come from this site: https://itms-pdupdate.uwaterloo.ca/information/index.php Once you’ve determined which category it should fall under select it and it will attach on it’s own.
If it’s a characteristic that’s coming from either the ITMS website, or the SDCI web site then check the “Used in Infosilem Timetabler” If it’s an RO characteristic, do not check that box.
