Description

The EMC NetWorker client software can be used to backup Windows, Linux and Macintosh servers and workstations to a remote backup server. The same client software can be used later for recovery purposes. Each client needs a license in order to communicate with the server. These licenses are managed on the backup server. Clients cannot be backed up until they are authorized. For full details of the backup service, including availability, backup schedules, charging, data retention periods etc. please review the Backup and data restoration service page.

There are several methods to register your server for backup. For details, review the register for backup service page. For instructions on how to install the client, please read the documentation for installing EMC NetWorker clients.

Important note

For Windows operating systems, make sure you right click on the downloaded file and select 'Run as Administrator'. The firewall does not get configured properly if you just double click on the downloaded file.
