  1. Using the projector remote, turn on the projector by pressing the blue power button on the remote. The remote is mounted to the side of the desk of the workstation.

Projecting from a lab computer:

  1. Sign in to the lab computer with your WatIAM and password.

  2. Type (blue star) + “p” for the following Project window to pop up, and pick whether to “Duplicate” or “Extend” your screen to the projector screen. This will mirror or extend your computer screen to the projector respectively.

Projecting from a laptop:

  1. Plug in the USBC USB-C cable to connect the laptop to the projector. If no USB-C port is available, unplug the adaptor and use the HDMI cable instead. If the laptop is not compatible with both either the USB-C and cable or the HDMI cablescable, visit the ETIS Help Desk at EV2-1008 to request for a suitable adaptor.

  2. Type (blue star) + “p” for the following Project window to pop up , and pick whether to “Duplicate” or “Extend” your screen to the projector screen.

  3. If the projector is currently displaying the lab computer’s screen, you must press the button located below the lab computer screen (as shown in the image below) to switch to displaying your laptop screen. The projector will not automatically switch to the laptop screen when the laptop is first plugged in.

 

If the projector did not duplicate or extend your computer screen, press the button located below the lab computer screen as shown in the following image. This botton button allows the projector to switch between displaying the lab computer and the connected laptop.
