To resolve the error, try the following steps:
Delete the NVivo file you downloaded.
Restart your Mac.
Download NVivo again using Safari.
Try to run the NVivo.
After opening the installer and getting the error click ‘cancel’.
Open system preferences and go to privacy and security.
Scroll down and under security, there should be a notice about NVivo being blocked, click open anyways.
Try to open NVivo again.
