For the screen sharing feature to work with Catalina users, some additional steps are requiredthe Privacy settings must be modified. For instructions on how to do so, please follow the guide below.

Step-by-step guide

1. Open System Preferences then click on the Security and Privacy icon

2. Click the Privacy tab on the upper-right, then scroll down the left option list to click on Screen Recording.

3. Click the padlock icon at bottom-left and enter in the admin password to allow changes.

4. Next, check the option box at the right next to Beyond Trust

   1. Once clicked, the remote screen will be fully in view.

   2. Prior to this you can only see the desktop background, a mouse pointer moving about the screen, the menu bar across the top of the display and the Beyond Trust window; nothing else.
