Symptoms of the problem

  • When viewing one or more calendars in Outlook, no meetings are visible

  • The calendars are known to contain information

  • When viewed in the Outlook Web App, the affected calendar(s) contain meetings as expected

Cause of the problem

  • A custom view is in effect which hides most or all meetings

Confirm the problem

  • The problematic setting can be seen in View, View Settings, Filter

  • The folder properties view in Outlook (Right-click, Properties, Folder Size) confirms that there are items in the folder

Resolution of the problem

In order to resolve the issue in all folders, at once, run Outlook with a command-line switch to remove all custom views.
