Phishing simulation
About this service
Phishing attacks have consistently been the most prevalent cybersecurity threat faced by the University of Waterloo. While the University employs technology to help guard against the threat, user education is a critical element in defending against phishing attacks. Phishing simulations are a leading practice allowing organizations to measure the effectiveness of security awareness efforts and to re-enforce awareness of the threat.
IST conducts phishing simulations with members of the University of Waterloo community on a group-by-group basis. Results are reported in aggregate form to leaders. IST will not disclose any personal information entered by individuals who participate in the phishing simulations.
University leaders who wish for their areas to participate in phishing simulations ahead of IST's schedule are invited to submit a request to IST.
