Notes show for students when they are enrolling - the one section only though.

If there's a note on section 001 the note appears on the schedule of classes and in quest if a student has picked that section.

"The note appears on the schedule of classes only if it's on the first section. Since we only put notes on the first section when they enroll in section 2 they don't see the note in Quest. "

Schedulers discussed adding notes to all the sections - but since no one has requested this - it would be an insane amount of work, for little pay out.

Adding a note:

Log into Quest. Notes can be entered in the “Maintain Schedule of Classes” or “Schedule New Course”

There’s two types of notes to get added, either ones that have been created before hand, or adding a free format text note.

To add a note number, select the small magnifying glass next to the Note Nbr field.

Select the note you need.

Free format text, simply copy and paste the note the scheduling rep has requested into the second box and select save.

Only one note should appear at a time. Both boxes cannot have notes entered in them.

How to create/edit a note that’s already been created.

Curriculum Management → Schedule of Classes → Class Notes Table

Select the note you’re trying to change or update.

Add an effective dated row and make the changes then save.

To add a new note:

The Description has a character limit of 30 characters.

The long description is what will appear on the schedule of classes, there’s no character limit.
