Arts Faculty Database - Faculty Performance Review

The Arts Faculty Database - Performance Review allows department admin and chairs to easily submit reviews for faculty members during the yearly faculty performance review process. Developed by the Arts Computing Office and the Dean of Arts office and with the feedback from chairs and admins from Germanic and Slavic Studies, Sociology and Economics. The project initially launched for the January 2024 FPR and will be used for the next round of performance reviews.

Access Details

 

Faculty Performance Review Process

  • Initiating Faculty Performance Reviews (FPR) Process:

    • The Dean of Arts Office will identify faculty members requiring review for the current year.

    • FPR Active status will be enabled for the selected faculty.

  • Notification to Department Chairs:

    • Upon activation, an email notification will be sent to Department Chairs, informing them that the system is ready for faculty reviews.

  • Access for Department Chairs and Admins:

    • Department Chairs and Department Admins can log in to the system.

    • They will have access to view the list of faculty members selected for review.

  • Review Submission Process:

    • Department Admins can submit reviews and ratings on behalf of the Department Chair.

    • Submitted reviews will be in a "Draft" status until the Department Chair submits them to the Dean.

  • Submission to the Dean:

    • Department Chairs are responsible for submitting the finalized review/rating to the Dean for review.

  • Dean's Review:

    • The Dean will log in to the system to review submitted evaluations.

    • The Dean can either approve the reviews or engage in discussions regarding recommended ratings.
