  5. Select and copy (Ctrl + C) the URL contained within the quotation marks. The URL should begin with: https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=.

Note: Full URL might not be completely visible at first glance, which may require you to scroll to highlight it all. If you are unable to select the URL within the quotation marks without selecting the entire line, you may need to paste (Ctrl + V) the line in a document and remove the adjacent text (i.e., iframe, width, height, and any quotation marks).

Create an embedded map URL using Google My Maps

  1. Navigate to Google My Maps.

  2. Select + Create a new map.

  3. Enter the address of the location you wish to embed.

  4. Select Share.

  5. Enter a Map title and description (optional). Select OK.

  6. Enable Anyone with link can view.

  7. Select Close.

  8. Select the 3 dots to the right of the title.

  9. Select Embed on my site.

  10. Select and copy (Ctrl + C) the URL contained within the quotation marks. The URL should begin with: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/embed?mid=.

  11. Note: Full URL might not be completely visible at first glance, which may require you to scroll to highlight it all. If the URL is formatted as 'https://www.google.com/maps/d/embed?mid=', enter '/u/1/' so it matches the format in step 10.
