Comms

  • new CAD for antennas worked on this week

E-box

  • what the dimensions of the ebox will be and size constraints

Battery

  • a more concrete design will be made for the battery mount and how it will be mounted lower on the drivetrain

 

Outstanding CAD Work

  • Archive old gimbal mount on main assembly

 

Gimbal

  • Mount all 6 antennae

  • CAD is almost done for comms stand - almost ready for review

  • CAD next steps

    • LED Matrix Mount

    • Mount the edge routers

    • Mount the ubiquiti rockets (or rough placement idea)

    • Connection interface between chassis and comms stand

  • CAD review by Tuesday next week @Gavin Mesz to schedule with all present parties

Battery

 

  • U bolts need extra design considerations to prevent sliding and rattling

  • Initial intension is to use velcro straps to secure the battery

  • Cushioning in metal part would be great

  • Separate locating features from clamping features

  • Next Steps

    • check possibility of using a plate and standoffs

    • Nail down exactly what connection method you want to connect the ubolts to the battery

      • sheet metal vs plate etc

    • Add some locating feature to constrain the position of the battery

    • figure out how to connect battery to plate or sheet metal part (straps, velcro, etc)

    • wrap up cad after that

    • reducing vibrations

 

Ebox

  • Machined Plastic mounts on cylindrical tube if 3D prints are failing

  • Working on layout for all ebox components

  • Shelf design may not work well with certain wire gauges and wire lengths

  • Next Steps

    • Priority access list

    • What doesn't matter to access as much

    • Wiring to and from component

    • Revisit layout after above options have been address

    • take a look at CAD
