How do I submit a tuition benefit application?

Tuition benefit applications have to be submitted by your parent that works at the University. They can be directed to our tuition benefit form available on our webpage.

What does tuition benefit cover for the dependent of an employee?

Employees are eligible for a tuition benefit amount for their child/children equal to 50% (or other % based on FTE, subject to the terms of Policy 24).

• of fees for TUITION, CO-OP FEE AND WORK REPORT MARKING FEE ONLY.

• at the domestic rate.

• for the term indicated on the form at the time of submission. We cannot process requests for a tuition benefit retroactive to a term prior to the term displayed on the form at the time of submission.

My parent has applied for tuition benefit. How long will it take to reflect on my account?

The tuition benefit amount will be automatically added to your student account in Quest within one business day following your application.  

How do I become Fees Arranged when I have tuition benefit?

If you are paying for the remaining amount on your account after your tuition benefit is posted, you will be automatically Fees Arranged when that payment arrives. If you are using financial aid to pay for the remaining balance, you need to fill out a promissory note to become fees arranged

Can tuition benefit be applied retroactively to previous terms?

The tuition benefit is for the term indicated on the form at the time of submission. We cannot process requests for a tuition benefit retroactive to a term prior to the term displayed on the form at the time of submission.
