You can record any Teams meeting or call to capture audio, video, and screen sharing activity. The recording happens in the cloud, and is saved to Microsoft Stream, so you can share it securely across your organization.
Note: Whiteboards and shared notes are not captured in the meeting recording.

Recording a Teams Meeting
Start or join a meeting.
To start recording, click the ellipsis (More Options).
Select Start recording.
Once you start recording, everyone in the meeting is notified.
When you want to end the recording, click the ellipsis (More Options) then click Stop Recording.
The recording is then saved to Microsoft Stream, it may take a few minutes to process. Microsoft Stream will send the recorder an email once it is ready, click the Go to your video now link in the email to view it. The video will also be in the meeting chat or in the channel, if you’re meeting was in a channel. Guests and external attendees can only view the recording if the video is explicitly shared to them.
Sharing a Recorded Video
Warning
In Microsoft Stream, please be careful to not check the box "Allow everyone in your company to view this video".
This accident could happen if you end up in the video details settings unintentionally. Do not click the pencil icon. If you do end up here, click the Cancel button at the top of the screen.
To share your recorded video, locate your email and click the video recording link to open in Microsoft Stream OR in the meeting chat, locate the video you've recorded.
Click the ellipsis (More options) next the the recorded meeting.
Select Open in Microsoft Stream.
Below the video, click Share
Internal Sharing
Click Email.
Type in the individual's name.
Click Add - they will appear below the search bar.
Click Send and Close once you've added everyone you'd like to authorize to view.
The individuals you selected will then receive an email with the link to the video .
External Sharing
Stay in the Share tab.
Click Copy to copy the video link address.
Paste the link in an email to an external individual.
Deleting a Recorded Video
Recording owners (either the person who started the recording, or any additional owners named by that person) are the only people who can delete recordings.
Locate your email and click the video recording link to open in Microsoft Stream OR in the meeting chat, locate the video you've recorded.
Click the ellipsis (More options) next the the recorded meeting.
Select Open in Microsoft Stream.
Once open in Microsoft Stream, click the ellipsis below the video.
Select Delete.
