A quick guide to running a data extract. I'm using the Course/Class Extract as an example, but they are all pretty similar start up.
Log into Quest.
Under the navigator select the following pathway: “Data Extracts” → “Records” → “Course /Class extract”
If you already have one usually your own user id is the one to pick.
If none come up then create one by selecting the “Add a New Value”
once you have entered in a run control the next page appears:
Enter in the terms you are looking for the information, select the report that you are seeking, the academic career, and depending on the report you selected the Academic Group, Academic Organization or the Subject Area. All fields must have information in them.
Select Run
It will then take you back to the Course/Class Extract page. To view the report and the status of it being created, select the “Process Monitor” link
You will see the process that you are running in the list of processes, usually when you first land on this page it will look like this:
it will down load and give you all the course time room instructor information (if you’ve selected the Course/Class Extract)
