If you need to complete courses such as WHIMIS, Employee Safety Orientation, or Food and Safety Awareness, you will need to self-register for them.

Any course you self register for will appear under your Courses and Communities widget the same way that an academic course appears. Some self-registration courses will be removed from your course homepage if they are no longer needed.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click the Self Registration link along the top of the System-level navbar.

LEARN system homepage with arrow pointing at Self Registration link
  2.  You will be taken to the Self Registration page where you can choose the appropriate course to complete.

  3. Click on the appropriate link under Course Offering Name to register.

If you enroll for a course that you do not need access to you will have to contact learnhelp@uwaterloo.ca and request you be removed from the course.
