Trevor Bain
Information Technology Director
Background
Trevor Bain started working at the University of Waterloo in 1997 in the Faculty of Environment as the Geographic Information Systems Manager. In 2002, Trevor moved to Information Systems & Technology where he held positions and supported a variety of Windows-based services (Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, BES, Lync, SharePoint). He joined the Faculty of Health as IT Director in July 2015.

Primary and secondary responsibilities
System administration of the faculty Unix servers: System administration, software installation, maintenance of user IDs and passwords, web server and email maintenance, and security measures.
Web support: Web server installation, maintenance and security, consulting with respect to form and function, providing training and support to the team of web maintainers.
Research centre support: Ideas for Health, RAI-Health Informatics Project (RAI-HIP), Ergonomics and Safety Consulting Services (ESCS), University of Waterloo Fitness.
Secondary responsibility: School of Public Health Sciences.
