Step-by-step guide

  1. You will receive an email from Jira for each project that requires an update indicating it has been changed to “Requires Status Update” as a status.
  2. You can either follow the link provided in the email you receive or navigate to https://jira.uwaterloo.ca/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=347&projectKey=ISTPPM&selectedIssue=ISTPPM-5.
  3. To update status:
    1. Either click on “In Progress” on the issue detail screen (image below).
    2. or click and drag the item requiring an update from the “Requires Update” column to the “In Progress” column (image below). The “Only My Issues” Quick Filter will hide all items except those assigned to the logged-in user.
  4. Regardless of which option is used, the status update dialog will present the following screen:
    1. Update the Percent complete to reflect current progress.
    2. Update the Health (Red, Yellow, Green).
    3. Add a comment detailing any key items for the status update (activities or deliverables completed, issues arising, changes to the schedule, etc.
