Open "File Explorer" and highlight “This PC” from the left menu.
At the top of the window, from the "Computer" tab select “Map network drive.”
Select the drive letter from the drop-down menu (R: is recommended for simplicity, however, any letter will work.)
In the "Folder" field enter: \\filed.uwaterloo.ca\science$
There will be two check boxes:
"Reconnect at sign-in": If this box is not checked the R: Drive will have to be mapped everytime the computer is rebooted.
"Connect using different credentials": If this box is checked, credentials other than the default ones can be used. If you are not using a Nexus machine, check this box as it will not work otherwise.
When prompted enter your network credentials:
Username: your WatIAMuserid@uwaterloo.ca
Password: your WatIAM password
Optionally select "Remember my credentials" if you don’t want to have to enter your credentials every time you access the folder after a reboot.
Click "OK."
