From the Mac OS X Finder, hit the Command+K keys simultaneously to bring up the Connect to Server window.
Enter the path to the network drive you want to map:
For a shared R: drive (departmental shared drive), there is a slightly different path. In Science, for example, the path would be: cifs://filed.uwaterloo.ca/science$/~snapshot
For your personal N: drive use this path: cifs://fileu.uwaterloo.ca/users$/~snapshot

Note the N: drive option is only applicable to users who have not migrated to OneDrive. Please contact your IT support rep if you are unsure whether your account has been migrated to OneDrive.
3. Click Connect.
4. Enter your 8-character UWaterloo username (i.e. j25rober) and password.
5. Click OK to mount the network drive.
6. The drive will appear on your desktop and in the Finder window sidebar
