When adding an internal signer to a project, the 8-character UWaterloo username@uwaterloo.ca (i.e. myuserna@uwaterloo.ca) address must be used. You can search for someone’s username at https://idm.uwaterloo.ca/search/. in Campus Directory. To ensure you are using the correct email, use the information in the User ID username field.

Open the signature project
Click on Signers
Find the signer who is seeing the error message and click the Edit button next to their name
Update to

use username@uwaterloo.
...
ca
Once saved, this change will propagate to all other signature projects with this UWaterloo signer.
