How to create an Important date

  1. Select My Workbench under the black Administration bar.

  2. Select the Create/Manage Content tab.

  3. Select Important dates.

  4. Click Add Important dates.

  5. From the drop-down, select the Content access group for this piece of content.Note: You may only be part of one Content access group.

  6. Enter the Title of the Important date.

  7. Select the appropriate Academic year. Site managersĀ are able to add new Academic years via Dashboard under Vocabularies.

  8. Select the Type (optional). Site managers are able to add new Academic years via Dashboard under Vocabularies.

  9. Add a Description (optional).

  10. Enter the Important date details.

    • Select the Academic term this date will fall within (fall, winter, spring).

    • Select the Details drop-down to add the Date. Optionally, select Show End date, add an End date, and add Special notes.

    • Note: Important dates with a Special note will include an asterisk (*) next to the title in the calendar view.

    • Note: More than one Important date can be added here if creating a series.

Select an important date to see more information. Optionally, export that date into your email calendar.
