You can record any Teams meeting or call to capture audio, video, and screen sharing activity. The recording happens in the cloud, and is saved to Microsoft Stream, so you can share it securely across your organization.
Note: Whiteboards and shared notes are not captured in the meeting recording.

Recording a Teams Meeting

  1. Start or join a meeting.

  2. To start recording, click the ellipsis (More Options).

  3. Select Start recording.

  4. Once you start recording, everyone in the meeting is notified.

  5. When you want to end the recording, click the ellipsis (More Options) then click Stop Recording.

  6. The recording is then saved to Microsoft Stream, it may take a few minutes to process. Microsoft Stream will send the recorder an email once it is ready, click the Go to your video now link in the email to view it. The video will also be in the meeting chat or in the channel, if you’re meeting was in a channel. Guests and external attendees can only view the recording if the video is explicitly shared to them.

Sharing a Recorded Video

  1. Click Email.

  2. Type in the individual's name.

  3. Click Add - they will appear below the search bar.

  4. Click Send and Close once you've added everyone you'd like to authorize to view.

  5. The individuals you selected will then receive an email with the link to the video .
