Once the document within Google Drive has been configured it can be embedded within a Confluence document simply by pasting its URL within a page. Once pasted, click the URL will transform into an inline link that just displays the title of the linked document. Click on the URL link and change its display style from “Display URL” “Link” to “Display Embed”:

If your URL does not transform into an inline link, you will not get the option to display it as an embed. In this case, simply click on the URL and change its display style to “Link” and the option to change it to “Embed” should pop up.
An embed of the document should pop up, and once you publish the page you should be good to go.
