Replacing Safety Alarm Batteries
- Remove the top cover by inserting a flat head screwdriver into the slot located on the bottom-right corner and twist

- Move switch to the “off” position and remove the small Philips screw at the centre of the board to expose the batteries underneath

- Replace both batteries with CR-2025 lithium batteries. Ensure the batteries match polarity for slot they are being placed into

- Replace electronics board and place screw in original location
- Return switch to the “on” position and replace the unit cover

Batteries can be ordered through Information Systems & Technology (IST), if required. Please submit a request to rt-ist-NSsecurity@rt.uwaterloo.ca
