To restore previous versions of files in Windows 10, follow the step-by-step guide below:
Open File Explorer.
Navigate to the file or folder whose previous version you would like to restore.
Right click the folder and select Previous Versions from the context menu.
In the item's properties go to the Previous Versions tab.
In the "File versions" list, select a version you would like to restore.
Click the Open button to check out the contents.
To quickly restore the previous version, click on the Restore button. You will be prompted to overwrite the existing file version if it exists in the same location.

The username mentioned in the guide below refers to your 8-character UWaterloo username (ie.eg. j25rober j25rober) . and password
From the Mac OS X Finder, hit the Commandand +K keys at the same time simultaneously to bring up the Connect to Server window.
Enter the path to the network drive you want to map:
For your personal N:drive use this path, : cifs://fileu.uwaterloo.ca/users$/~snapshot
For a shared R:drive (departmental Shares), there is a slightly different path. In Science for example, the path would be, : cifs://filed.uwaterloo.ca/science$/~snapshot
Click Connect.
Enter your Nexus login in the the format Nexus\username and password.
Click OK to mount the network drive.
The drive will appear on your desktop and in the Finder window sidebar
