1. Log into a University of Waterloo-managed Windows Machine computer using your !bang account username and current password

2. Simultaneously press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on your keyboard (Note: If you are using a Remote Desktop connect connection this will be the Ctrl+Alt+End)

3. An options window will appear, click . Click on the Change a password button

4. The change Change a password window will appear, complete the fields as follows;

   1. Enter the !Bang bang account username (Do not include without @uwaterloo.ca)

   2. Enter the current !Bang bang account password

   3. Enter a strong new password (This . The new password must be different from your old password , and should be a AND different password than your WatIAM password)

   4. Confirm the new password (Note: this must match the previous field)

5. Once the password change is completed click on the Windows Start button in the lower left corner

6. Click on the Account icon or picture

7. Click on Sign out

8. Once signed out log into a University of Waterloo-managed Windows Machine computer using your !bang account username and updated password

Connecting from a Mac to a Windows computer

Mac MacOS does not come with built-in remote desktop software. You will need to download a remote desktop client from the App Store we . We recommend you use the latest version of Microsoft Remote Desktop

• Enter your registered hostname as "hostname.uwaterloo.ca"

• Use "Nexus\userid" if it's a Nexus machine, or "machine computer name\account name" if it isn't.

• Use your WatIAM password.
