Click to expand the instructions for your device:

 iPhone
  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Accounts & Passwords.

  3. Select Add Account.

  4. Tap Microsoft Exchange.

  5. Enter in your uwaterloo email.

  6. Enter in a Description, if desired (e.g., Work Email).

  7. Tap Next.

  8. It may ask you “Sign in to your uwaterloo.ca Exchange account using Microsoft?”, press Configure Manually.

  9. Enter your uwaterloo email password.

  10. Tap Next.

  11. Select the files you want to be transferred/saved onto your phone—ensure Mail is on (green).

  12. It should now appear in your iPhone’s Mail application.

 Android Devices
  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select General.

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Tap Add account.

  5. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. You will need to enter following information to set up your email account:

    1. Email Address: userid@uwaterloo.ca

    2. Domain\Username: nexus\WatIAm username

    3. Password: your WatIAM password

    4. Server Address: connect.uwaterloo.ca

  6. Follow the screen instructions. You will need to tap OK a couple of times and tap Activate at the end.

 BlackBerry Android Devices

Add an email account to the BlackBerry Hub:

  1. Tap the BlackBerry Hub.

  2. Tap Add account.

  3. Enter your email address, and then tap Manual Setup.

  4. Tap your account type - Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

  5. Email address: userid@uwaterloo.ca

  6. Username: nexus\WatIAM username

  7. Password: WatIAM password

  8. Server name: connect.uwaterloo.ca

  9. Tap Next.

  10. Tap OK.

  11. Tap Activate.

 BlackBerry OS 10

On the device, swipe from the top and go to:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Accounts.

  3. Select Add Account.

  4. At the bottom > go to Advanced, and select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

  5. Description - can be anything you want

  6. Domain = nexus

  7. Username is your userid (WatIAM username)

  8. Email Address is your userid@uwaterloo.ca

  9. Password – your WatIAM password

  10. Server Address: connect.uwaterloo.ca

  11. Tap Next > Done.
