Opening an item or explicitly setting it as available offline will keep a local copy on your device, in other words, using up storage.

  1. Click on the item you made available offline

  2. In the dropdown menu, click the “Free up space” option

Note: You can apply this step to the entire OneDrive folder if you right click that instead.
