Content navigation

Content navigation, a feature from publication sites, allows users to move between previous and next content directly from the current page. Content creators can optionally select which stand-alone content to link to (any content with a node), enhancing the overall user experience. Create Content navigation

  1. From the administration bar, select Workbench, then select My Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Content list and select the content you would like to edit.

  3. Select the Layout tab. 

  4. Select + Add section, if applicable. 

  5. Select + Add block.

  6. Under Choose a block, navigate to Teasers and select Content navigation.

  1. If desired, enter a title. By default, the block title is Content navigation and set to display. Change the title or uncheck if desired.

  2. Select Heading level. Default is set to H2. Make sure to follow heading order!

  3. In the Previous content section, begin to type in the title of content you want to display. Note that any stand-alone content can be included - this includes any content with a node number. Once you begin to type, a drop-down list will appear with matching content. Select the desired content. Repeat for the Next Session.

  4. Configure page for Previous and Next content

    Optionally include a Block ID.

  5. Select Update.

Note: Tags automatically display. Uncheck Show tags to hide.
