Find and fix broken links
If a web page no longer exists or has been moved, the link to that page will break and users attempting to access the page will receive a 404 error.Â
Â
To fix this, users with the site manager role can view a list of internal broken links on a site and create redirects. The list of internal broken links can be URL paths that are misspelled, had trouble loading, or pages that have been moved.Â
Fixing 404 errorsÂ
From the administration bar, select Workbench, and then select My Dashboard.Â
Under Site management menu, select Fix 404 pages.Â
Locate the desired broken URL path from the list, then select Add redirect under Operations.Â
You will be directed to a new page called Add URL redirect, and the Path field will automatically be filled out with the URL path you've selected.Â
In the To field, enter the new path that you would like the page to redirect to.Â
If the page you want to link to is internal (within the site), begin typing the title and select it from the drop-down menu that will appear. You can also enter an external URL such as https://example.com.Â
Select 301 Permanently moved.Â
Set the Language as All Languages.Â
Select Save.Â
Refer to How-to create a Redirect for guidance on creating redirects.Â
