Equipment Servicing Test Lander Build
Overall High Level Project Scope
List of Required Objects for Interaction
Previous research: Arm Requirements (2021-2022)
RULES (find updated list of interactable objects to test here): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qlLfx9sDniEUvQr1B3vMOcHAvCPzXo06/view
Budget
Initial figure is under 100 CAD, however try to keep this number to a minimum. We should have enough parts/resources to build this for next to nothing
Timeline
Have the testing lander done ideally by end of the term
List of Tasks
Review rules, watch videos from other teams, and watch the URC mars lander videos linked below @Former user (Deleted) @Thomas Valer (Deactivated)
Create a concrete list of interactable objects on the URC Mars lander @Former user (Deleted) @Thomas Valer (Deactivated)
Develop a general concept on how to build it - what materials will be used where
look for materials that are:
cheap
easy to machine/modify
structurally sound
Look in the bay to get a general sense of what materials/parts are available, and what can be used for interaction @Former user (Deleted)
@Thomas Valer (Deactivated) to look into resources linked below for construction materials/parts that might be required
Create a rough CAD model of the lander design @Thomas Valer (Deactivated) @Former user (Deleted) (sort out individual panel/framing responsibilities as project progresses)
Source all required parts, finalize a budget, finalize CAD model
Review design
Construct Lander
Resources for Sourcing Parts
The bay/SDC. Ideally we want to reuse random parts we have on hand to keep costs low.
