Not Fees Arranged (NFA)

I have a NFA hold. What does that mean?

The Not Fees Arranged (NFA) hold is applied automatically to your account if your registered status is not Fees Arranged by the 100% refund deadline for the term. This hold will prevent access to course selection, course enrolment, viewing grades on Quest, transcripts and refunds. Please refer to our important dates page to see what day the 100% refund deadline is for your current term.

How can I have this hold removed?

Once you become Fees Arranged, whether by a payment in full or a promissory note, this hold will automatically be removed from your account. See https://uwaterloo.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/resumedraft.action?draftId=1544061030 for more information

The promissory note is no longer available on Quest, how do I submit a promissory note?

The automated processes on Quest to complete the Promissory Note stop at the end of the third month each term. To become Fees Arranged with a Promissory Note after the automated version on Quest is no longer available, complete the pdf version and email a signed copy along with your supporting proof of financial aid to Student Financial Services. Please put "Late Pnote" in the subject line of your email. Questions? You can submit your inquiry here
