Can anyone contact you about my account?

Access to information on student accounts is restricted to approved University personnel and the student only. We cannot discuss your student account details with your parents, spouse, other relatives, employers, landlords, associations or members of other educational institutions or agencies. You are responsible for communicating student account information and fee payment instructions to anyone who requires that information in order to assist with payment of your fees.

I want to give someone permission to talk to you on my behalf about my account. How can I do that?

To authorize us to discuss your student account information with someone you have designated, please complete the Release of Information form.

The University also collects specific and limited personal information on behalf of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association and the Graduate Student Association. This information is used for membership administration, elections, annual general meetings, and the administration of student benefit plans and is disclosed to the two organizations and external plan providers solely for those purposes. Students should contact the office of either group if they have any questions about this matter
