Online Profile Builder (OPB) Instructions
What is Online Profile Builder (OPB)?
OPB is a self-serve tool developed by Engineering Computing and supported by IST for faculty profile web pages. Faculty fill out details about their research, teaching, and biographical information using the OPB interface. This information is supplemented by institutional sources to create standardized faculty member profile pages.
Benefits
A single location to update information that can be linked from multiple places (unit website, lab website, etc.)
Uniform and streamlined web presence across all faculty, unit, and research centre pages.
Self-serve approach removes the need for unit staff to edit pages on behalf of faculty members.
Creating and Editing your OPB Information
Navigate to Online Profile Builder and log in
Click Update Online Profile
Work through the tabs to fill out information about yourself and your research. Some information will already be filled out.

Viewing your Profile
Once enabled and configured on your unit’s WCMS site, your profile will be visible at https://uwaterloo.ca/unit-wcms-site/profile/watiam (replacing unit-wcms-site with your home unit’s site, and watiam with your WatIAM username).
