Course Support for Instructors

ETIS’ geospatial support staff provides a variety of instructional support for Faculty of Environment courses that want to leverage the following technologies:

  • GIS

  • Remote Sensing

  • Surveying

  • Software Development

To request support for your course, please do so as soon as possible, preferably no later than one month before the term starts. More advance notice is needed for bigger tasks (e.g. developing new assignments with new software).

Considerations

  • Instructors are expected to be fully involved in the development of all course materials.

  • ETIS staff cannot be involved in assignment grading or assessing students’ work.

  • The course instructor and TAs are the primary points of contact for support for students in courses. ETIS staff can assist with troubleshooting if the TAs and instructor are unable to resolve a technical issue (e.g. software and hardware problems in teaching labs).
