About this service

IST offers two version control services to assist you with managing your software development: Github and Gitlab. Manage software development projects via Git repositories with fine grained access controls that keep your code secure. Users can:

  • Perform code reviews and enhance collaboration with merge requests

  • Create and implement a project issue tracker and wiki

Github is a repository intended for open-source projects being developed at the University, and is publicly-accessible.

Gitlab is a locally-hosted version control system that provides code repositories for private use.
