Adding a second account to OneDrive for Windows 11
Step-by-step guide
Locate the OneDrive icon
Find the cloud icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen, near the clock).
If you don’t see it, click the up arrow to show hidden icons.
Open OneDrive Settings
Right-click the OneDrive icon.
Select Settings from the context menu.
Right click icon > select Settings.
Alternative access (if icon is missing)
Open File Explorer.
In the left pane, right-click the OneDrive folder.
Choose Settings from the menu that appears.
Add another account
In the OneDrive Settings window, go to the Account tab.
Click Add an account.
Sign in to the second account
A new setup window will appear.
Enter the email address and password for the second OneDrive account (e.g., personal or another work account).
Follow the prompts to choose the folder location and sync preferences.

5. Access both accounts
Once added, you’ll see two separate OneDrive folders in File Explorer, each labeled by account type (e.g., “OneDrive – Personal” and “OneDrive – University of Waterloo”).
