Adding sections to Crowdmark using LEARN exports

This article explains how to export group or section data from LEARN.

Why Add Sections?

Adding sections lets you:

  • Filter by section while grading (more on How to filter evaluations)

  • Assign specific TAs to grade only their sections

  • Simplify performance tracking across labs or tutorials

Step 1: Export groups or sections from LEARN

There are two main ways to export your section data:

Option 1: Export via gradebook

  1. Go to your LEARN Course > Instructor Tools.

  2. Click Export.

  3. Choose the group or section column.

  4. Export as CSV.

Option 2: Export via group memberships

  1. Navigate to your LEARN Course Home.

  2. Click Instructor Tools.

  3. Select Group Memberships Export.

Step 2: Upload section info to Crowdmark

  1. Open your Crowdmark course.

  2. Click on Course settings

  3. Ensure “This course has sections” is switch on.

  4. Go to Course Students in the left menu.

  5. Use Upload Roster or Edit Students to add the exported CSV file.

  6. Ensure the "Section" column is correctly mapped.
