@mentions in a comment - Jira Service Management

Mentions (often known as @mentions) are an easy way of drawing someone's attention to a page or comment. This article describes how to @mention (i.e. tag) someone in a ticket. When you mention a user, they'll receive a notification by email.

Step-by-step guide

  1. To mention someone, type '@' in the message box and begin to type in their name.

  2. Choose the person you want to mention/tag by clicking on their name from the list of suggestions.  The list of options to tag include only individuals that are a part of your team or your project.

Note: @mentions do not add the individual to the ticket. To add a participant to the request please see Add a Request Participant in Jira Service Management
