Choosing where to store your day-to-day files

Personal - non-work related files

  • Your own personal cloud-based storage - whether a personal Microsoft OneDrive (UW employee discount), iCloud, Google Drive or other

  • USB drives can be used but cloud-based services are recommended

Personal - work related files that nobody else needs to access (even in your absence).

  • OneDrive

  • Examples of this type of file are quick notes or initial document drafts, HR-related documents such as performance reviews, or files that are useful for a very limited time.
