Renewing SAS license
When you are renewing your SAS license annually, you do not have to re-install the program unless there updates to the software. Instead, you can just download and install the updated license file using the Renew SAS Software application.
Instructions
In the email you receive from the IST Webstore, you will find a network location to the installation files. There will be a folder there called “SIDforSAS9.4-M8” and the license file you need is a text file in that folder. Copy that text file to your computer.
Click on the Windows icon on the toolbar along the bottom of your screen (default location)
Click on the All > option on the resulting search window
Scroll down to find a SAS folder
Click on the expand icon to the right of the SAS folder to reveal the components of SAS
Click on the Renew SAS Software 9.4 option
Enter your admin credentials when prompted
Choose English as the language and click OK
On the first SAS Deployment Manager License Renewal window, ensure that the “Apply SAS Foundation licence file for renewal” option is checked and click Next >
Click the Browse button to select/open the new license file and click Next >
At the Summary page, click Start
If all went well, you will see a Deployment Complete window with a green check mark beside the Apply SAS Foundation license file for renewal. Click Next >
Click Finish when the Additional Resources window is displayed
