Professional licenses
What are professional licenses?
A professional license is a special permission that lets someone officially work in a certain job. It shows that the person has the right education, training and skills to do their work safely and correctly.
You usually need a professional license for jobs like nursing, teaching, engineering, law, or accounting, basically any career where people rely on your expertise. To get one, you often have to finish specific courses, pass exams and sometimes gain work experience. Once you have it, you may also need to renew it regularly by taking extra training or classes to stay up to date.
